White Rabbit Restaurant

Situated in very close proximity to watch the trains pass you by at Middle Brighton station, White Rabbit is a nice venue for an easy meal after wandering the beach during summer. The service is attentive and friendly, and there is a nice outdoor section out the front to be near your dog.

A very nice, homely Hot chocolate ($4.0) and with marshmallows to sweeten the deal!

The special of the day was the Prawn Linguini ($24.9); perfectly cooked al dente lingini, and a incredibly tasty capsicum and cherry tomato sauce to complement garlic butter cooked prawns. Delicious, and should definitely be made a staple at White Rabbit.

Baked Eggs
Baked eggs, pork and pistachio Lyonnais sausage, spicy beans, goats cheese, fresh herbs, fennel & apple compote ($18.9) was a very winter-style dish, warm and hearty with a lot of ingredients packed into a small dish. The Lyonnais sausage you can see on the side was quite nice, but on the dry side. I did enjoy the baked eggs with the goats cheese though.

Royale
The Royale consisted of Wilted spinach, Atlantic smoked salmon, Hollandaise sauce ($18.0) which was a bit like an Eggs Hollandaise. A staple that you know is going to be good. The hollandaise was nice and creamy and not too sour.

Roasted Chicken
Roasted Chicken mayo mix fresh herbs & lemon, avocado cream ($15.9) was a fancy chicken sandwich. The foccacia was nice and crispy, with just enough herbs and oils to flavour the bread to be able to be eaten on its own, but I feel the burger was slightly dry and there wasn't enough mayo for my liking.

TL;DR A nice cafe where you can sit outside on a nice sunny day and watch the trains go by. Not a high class meal, but good enough.
